Hello my cool cats,
bad (or good?) news – this post is going to be pretty short textwise.
Mommas got her vaccine yesterday, and I’m doing pretty good. Well, besides that my arm is hurting like Arnie Schwarzenegger punched it three times? After a workout??? On steroids?????? I expected this pain to be the least bad – turns out IT’S NOT AND IT ACTUALLY HURTS. Well, this and that I am, hands down, so tired I could sleep every second. But now - enough whining.
Since this weeks post is nothing to elaborate I decided to give you two looks in one! And only describing them in the bare minimum, so I can get my beauty sleep and be there for you full-time next week again.
You’re seeing my favourite boss bitch moment here. I paired a boyfriend blazer, that I got at a thrift store for 1€, together with my favourite 34938 numbers oversized white blouse, straight cut denim, black heeled boots and a tiny handbag, topped with a watch and sunglasses as accessorize. And a delicate three-part longline necklace. The sharp eye might’ve noticed that we only have the real basics here – jeans, blazer, white shirt, boots.
What makes this look so good? First of all – attitude, as usual. If you’re throwing on a Blazer, pull out that strong, independent, confident babe in you. Second key – Heels and Sunglasses. Those three ingredients are the major hack to get a good look. Works always. Big promise. Especially the little trick with the heels and sunglasses. Little mind play again – imagine three outfits and then imagine three outfits with heels and sunnies. Do you see?
Three ingredients to make every look a major look?
Heels.
Sunnies.
Attitude.
The second look is based on our main ingredients, too. We are seeing the jeans, we are seeing the white shirt and all the same jewels. What changed is the blazer – to a bouclé jacket. The shirt – is open (and underneath a sports bra because we love our boss bitch moments to be comfortable). And the boots – for some non-heeled platform chelseas. This look might be just as delicate and cool as the other look, but a lot more casual.
There you go sweeto, two looks with the same baseline. Mhm, basics can be so heavenly easy! What brings me to my Yoko-Drip-Tip: Spice up your Basics. I see so many looks on the street that would just need that bit of extra salt. May it be a tiny handbag in shiny leather, an interesting shoe, a weird blouse, a funny necklace, statement earrings, sunglasses, A HAT, … I could go on forever. A look gets so much more life and so much more fun to it, if you add just one interesting, weird, funny piece. And I promise – if worn together with basics as I do here, it won't look funny or weird. Don’t be afraid.
See you next week, all slept out and hopefully a little more tan!
