Hey there precious partyflowers,
not much to brabble about today – we all got some time in the sun to spend, I suppose. At least, that is where you would’ve found me over the course of the last two weeks. Brain and skin sun-washed on my fluffy rose blanket, pandiculating between not so much cold drinks and soothing voices of friends. And where you will probably find me the next weeks. Just search for that picture I just draw with words, in the park.
But for going to the park, you’ll need to be somewhat dressed. What you’re seeing is last sundays park outfit. Something simple, yet versatile. Let’s take a closer look.
I combined a black suede midi-skirt with a sheer lace top. Attention!!!! SUN SCREEN. You don’t want your skin to look like a curtain of Ludwig XIV.
I paired the look with some chunky sneakers, since the skirt and top are quite body-accentuating. The white of the sneakers also picks up the white of the shirt and we’ll find the matching colour for the skirt in the sunglasses.
Beside the colour scheme, the sneakers give the look it’s theme - casual. If this look was worn with loafers i.e., it would definitely be more for an evening occassion
The mixture of something rather girly, the lace-top, and the high-toned suede midiskirt combined with the sneakers makes up to a rather grunge type of look - also, because all pieces are vintage, which is… the characterstic for grunge looks.
But for me the cross of fabrics is one example for grunge, too. Whatever it may be that chracterizes the mid-80’s era that evokes the music of Kurt Cobain and the Foo Fighters to ring in our ears, we can emphasize it even more by adding a dark red lipstick and (best part) untidy hair. How simple life can be, if you just dress like the right era, huh? Hairstyle? NEVER HEARD OF THAT. Jk.
That is the wrap-up for todays look! But would I ever let you go without a Yoko-Drip-Tip? My Insta-Followers might already have noticed that my summer will be truly lived by the motto HOT GIIIIRL SUMMER 22. I already did a poll on who wants to take part, and most of the iconic babes that answered voted for “hot, anyway” and I loved nothing more than that, hahaha.
Anyhow, except feeling hot all day, everyday, I feel cheeto-hot when I just sweated out my whole water intake after three cardio workouts. Therefore this weeks Yoko-Drip-Tip is my current favourite Cardio-Workout (Link), by my beloved Pam. Don’t know what it is about these workouts, but they are much fun to me. Painful fun. Do four in a row and you’ll know what I’m talking about. Give it a few weeks and you’ll see why you do so. But actually, the real Yoko-Drip-Tip is to just feel hot. You are, my sweeto. You are.
