You remember when I talked about being tired of your favourite Pullover/Jeans-Combo in one of the latest posts? Well, here we go again! Don’t get me wrong, I am indeed tired of wearing pullover and jeans. But winter behaves like that one guest at the party, who just doesn’t want to leave, though he had three to fourteen drinks too much. My meteorologist of trust ensured me I can’t kick winter out just like that, so we have to pull of the overs and jeans a few more times, still. No need to worry anyways, we do have a few ways to spice things up a bit. And also – why should we complain? Winter is the time for clothes, clothes, and even more layers of clothes. That’s what I love so dearly about it.
Nevertheless, I am tired of the all-black vibe. The outside is cloudy enough, we don’t have to pretend to be widows all the time. That I do love myself a good crème-beige you must’ve noticed in the last post. We are staying on that wave with the big chunky knit pullover over here. Quite a contrast to the cloudy outside are the white jeans. White actually is not my go to choice at the moment, but it compliments the rest of the colours quite well. And its not black. Means – in doubt, pull your white jeans out.
To give the look a bit elaboration and sass, I didn’t went for the typical sneaker-combo. Instead I pulled out the lovely, lovely, lovely boots (do you see that I am heavily in love with them? I don’t think so) I bought at ZARA last autumn. They are just so classy, actually quite comfortable and make your look go from a 6 to 11 in zero seconds. I promise. There is just no boredom a good heel can not solve. And a glossy kind of bag. I pretended that the shopper I’m wearing is a slouchy clutch. It’s not. But it goes with the vibe.
To keep the balance of chic and cool I just paired it with a black Trenchcoat, that I buckled together with a black belt. This gives you a bit more silhouette, which we all know can seem to be missing sometimes in chunky knits.
When dressing more chic, I try to keep the birds-nest on my head that trys to imposter hair a bit more young, a bit more undefined, loose, unnerved. Hence the little bun. The hoops are serving this purpose as well.
Anyway, everybody who knows me knows that I am not really complete if not wearing hoops. From the pair you’re seeing here (my favourites) I own four pairs. Four pairs. Because I wear them constantly. Five, if you count the silver ones in as well. I wouldn’t completely say you can trust hoops as much as you could trust the heel-trick, because it really depends on if you are the type for them, but if so, they just go along with everything. And I also strongly think, that there is the right hoop for everyone. You just have to go through a few sizes and colours to see which one is yours.
Not much to say here anymore. I now am grabbing my umbrella to might head for a Sunday-stroll. Or I’m just moving back to my bed again because after trying to kick off the weather of your imaginary party, it doesn’t really scream for your attendance outside anyways.
