Hey there! Last week has been insane in terms of temperature. Though it is indeed frightening regarding the climate change, I must say that after months of darkness, grey sky, snow, and rain I really sucked up every sunbeam that I could get. Thus, you see my outfit.
We do actually have a very basic combination here. I suppose the star of the outfit, or the baseline rather, is the white shirt. Nothing can ever go wrong with a white shirt. If I had to choose one basic piece to wear for the rest of my life, it’d be the white shirt. I mean honestly, what is so easy in making you look put together as a white shirt? Pair it with jeans – casual. Pair it with smart trousers – work look, chic, lovely. Wear it with a leather skirt – a bit edgy, still full of taste. Probably the only thing that works all of these combos as well is a red lipstick. (Oh, my beloved red lip.)
But wear the white shirt with purple leather pants? Damn girl, that look‘s on fire. I just laid hands on these lovely pants. I saw them once at ZARA but wasn’t really sure if they’d suit me, because phew. Girls. And Boys. Purple is a very difficult colour on skin, I can tell you. Usually, I look like a pale marble wall in purple clothing, but as I always state – you just have to combine well. What also comes in handy is that they’re “just pants” and not a top. We don’t see that much skin down there anyway. The trousers themselves make, just like any piece that’s not as usual like every other, a look instantly more interesting. Just because you don’t see them that often.
We are combining them with more toned-down basic colours OR as you see in Variation Two of the outfit, with the same colour family. In both variations, we see the white shirt, because the smartness of the leather-shirt-combo is unbeatable. The jewellery is also the same in both outfits and generally quite limited. We only have small silver hoops and brown, round sunglasses (that I accidentally stole/borrowed from my dear friend Aaron. Thank you babe, hehe).
In the first, more smart, office-variation I paired the pants with a long, black blazer and some cowboy-chelsea-boots. Telling you a secret – I put these booties on because of the looks for sure, but also because of the beautiful klicking-noise they make. Get all them eyes on me when I enter the room, baby! Okay, okay back to the important stuff.
Variation 2 is more of a casual look, that I’d wear for a day in the park or for a walk or lunchdate (if you could visit restaurants, phew. Missing this.). Here I switched up the Chelseas for some Reebok Classics and the blazer for a loose vintage blouson. This fit works just as good as the smart one does – showing you what I meant with the versatility of the blouse.
Anyway – we do see two easy combinations that make you feel like the fancy boss-bitch you are. The magic of an interesting clothing piece working on and for itself.
Now I’m going to work on some nice springish fits, that are more capable of keeping you warm because the degrees fell again. See you next week, stay fesh baby!
