And it is sunny again!
In the last pictures, it sure must’ve always looked like some dementor has sucked all happiness out of the surroundings (is it uncool to give Harry Potter References being my age? Maybe. I don’t care).
But the sun has risen and it definitely shows. In my mood, my face and definitely in the cue state of the pictures
Sidenote: This magical word (cue state) I just learned and it describes what I personally would translate to “light-mood”, except that it’s the professional terminology in theatre. Thank me later.
See this as a shoutout to grab and throw on your beloved dress that’s right now getting dusty in the back of your wardrobe.
Well, and what do summer and spring scream for? DRESSES AND SKIRTS. And what do I scream for? SASS AND SKIRTS. Oh yes darling, you heard me right, it is probably going to get a bit more cheeky here from now on. Well, not every time because therefore I just enjoy jeans too much, but every now and then. Nevermind. I was delighted that I could finally give this stunning piece of a dress the wear it deserved. It waited for it since I bought it last autumn. And here is the day. You can surely see this as a shoutout to grab your beloved dress that’s right now getting dusty in the back of your wardrobe.
Back to the combo. We see a somewhat utility-kind-of-dress. It is made out of a denim-y fabric, but it's not exactly denim, and it's also not exactly as utile as utility-garments were once invented for. I could dive deep into the history of utility-clothing now, but I’m going to save this up for a dedicated post to the utility-theme in particular. Anyway, what I mean with its not as utile is, that it for sure is pretty short. And also it has these lovely puffy sleeves, which don’t have any reason except looking gorgeous. Whereas utility clothing is supposed to be… useful.
I rolled up the sleeves to make it look a bit more casual and not too strict, for the dress with its creamy colour gives you those rather elegant, clean vibes. To support the casualty I also unbuttoned the first button. Except for this, there is actually not much to say to the dress. The loveliest thing about them dresses is-you put them on and you are dressed. WELL, ALMOST.
It would be a tiny bit boring if it would just be the dress itself. So let us take a look at the Accessorize and shoes, for sure. Shoewise I opted for black loafers. Combined with socks. Something I wouldn’t have thought manageable three years ago. But isn’t it lovely? My favourite go-to at the moment. At least as long as I didn’t walk myself some blisters, because breaking these babys in is not as easy as it looks. However, this sock-in-open-shoe-thing really makes you look and feel all the way careless. Toning an outfit down, so easy and well.
But who would I be without a bit of the in the title promised sass? Not Yoko. On top of the dress, I added the bouclé-jacket, my dear almost 100 Instagram-followers have seen over the last week, daily. I love the balance it adds to a casual outfit, making it look put together instantly. Going with the sass I put on a bright lipstick and well, what makes you seem cooler than them good old sunnies? Nothing. We all know. Jewelry-wise I just opted for minimalistic options, a tiny silver necklace you can barely make out and my go-to hoops, because the look speaks for itself quite well. Oh yes, and the coke is a nice accessory, too. Adding on my caffeine-levels. No, I’m kidding. You know me by now. If not, then – I’m kidding.
Have a lovely, sunny, sunny week

P.S. - My dear boys of JEREMIAS just released their new single on friday (nie ankommen). Perfectly timed together with the sunbeams. You'll see what I am talking about when watching the video. Go and check!
